Our Mental Health First Aiders Course will cover the following areas:
- Understanding of mental health and the factors that can affect wellbeing
- Practical skills to spot signs of mental health issues
- Confidence to reassure and support a person in distress
- Knowledge to help someone recover their health by guiding them to further support
Our Mental Health First Aid Course teaches people how to identify, understand and help someone who may be experiencing a mental health issue.
MHFA won’t teach you to be a therapist, but it will teach you to listen, reassure and respond, even in a crisis or could help prevent a crisis occurring.
You will learn to establish the warning signs of mental ill health and develop the confidence and skills to approach and support someone, whilst maintaining your own safety.
You’ll also learn how to guide someone to find the support they may need for successful management of symptoms and their road to recovery. This may include recommending useful websites and self-help books, accessing therapy services through their school, place of work or GP or local support groups.
What’s more, you’ll gain an understanding of how to support positive wellbeing and tackle stigma in the world around you.
In addition to this, you will extend your understanding of how to support and promote positive health and wellbeing in the environment around you.
At Greening Consultants, we understand that every client is different, and we honour this value through our bespoke training sessions.
We believe that through our creativity and working closely with you, we can help you achieve great things and make your organisation a great place to work.
